I am currently living at Briarwood, have been here since October 2008. I have heard several stories about this being a bad part of town, but haven't experienced myself at this point. As the other person mentioned, the burn units are still there and kinda an eyesore. The new manager said that she was hoping that they would be starting it by the middle of February, but we will see. Though there are still a few of what I consider unsavory people here, the general upkeep is loads better than when I moved in. 1-2 Cars are stolen each week. 1 of the 2 pools turns into a greenish-brown mess once a month. The fire that happened months ago still hasn't been cleaned up. So far the tenants are looking to be illegal immigrants, and drug dealers. I do not recommend living here. The place used to be nice, but now its like living on the south (bad) side of town.
